The stiffened bottom of the cocoon is an absolutely essential element that each of our nests has. Attention, using a soft bottom made of any non-woven fabric can be dangerous for your child. On a too soft base, the curvature of the child's body adapts to the base and stays in one position, lasting for a very long time. This can have an impact on the consolidation of body asymmetry.
In our cocoons, it is stiffened with a sponge also used in the production of bed mattresses. This is due to the fact that the toddler, whether in a cot or in another place where we put him in the cocoon, sleeps on a similar base both in terms of hardness and warmth. A hard base also promotes cognitive functions. It is easier for a child to turn around on such a base, push off from the base.
